Château d'Orquevaux Artists & Writers Residency

"Time at the Chateau is life changing, expansive and affirming. I came as a writer and left with a wider creative community. The space created by Beulah, Ziggy and their team fosters creativity, connection and peace. There are so many places to spend time with our feelings and work through these. When I was given a place here, I was unsure if it would be worth it. Now, I know it was and I wish I didn’t have to leave. It’s a rare thing for writers and artists to have the opportunity to really immerse themselves in their work and this is done here perfectly in picturesque surroundings, while being cooked for (delicious French food). I highly recommend applying to come here"

"katherinegreerart I am currently here and have a week left. It has been the best gift I could ever give myself. I have grown so much personally and artistically by allowing the time and space to create and be me. They provide everything! You can create as little or as much as you desire. I can't stop! Today I was going to give myself the day off from painting as I have been working everyday for 2 weeks now and I couldn't. That is how inspirational it feels being here! • My heart has never been so content."

"Staying here was truly transcendent. I didn’t know what to expect before getting here, but I am blown away by the stunning property and amazing crew. They care so much for the artists and writers staying here. Loved getting to know all the creature friends around the property. Anyone who stays here will be transformed by this experience!"

"My 3 week experience at Chateau Orquevaux was much, much more than I could have anticipated. The beauty of the property, town, and the Chateau itself are stunning. I needed a moment to absorb it before I could proceed. Then it was on! Everything is run with such professionalism, and that must begin with the acceptance policy because our group of artists were exceptional! Such care was given to every aspect, making my residency one to remember for a lifetime."

"I had the most magical experience at Chateau d’Orquevaux. Being part of this artist residency has been a deeply inspiring experience. Surrounded by creative minds and immersed in a space designed for exploration, I’ve found renewed energy and clarity in my practice. Would highly recommend!"
